Arlene D. Johnson (Boker)

❤️ 4/17/1946 - 6/11/2026 💔

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Arlene D. Johnson, who peacefully left this world on June 11, 2026, at the age of 80, surrounded by her family.

Arlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Johnson, her beloved husband of 59 years. She leaves behind her son, Bob Jr. (Kathy); her daughter, Susan (Shannon); and her two grandsons, Kyle and Evan Johnson, whom she loved with all her heart. Arlene is also survived by her brothers, Chuck Boker, Buck Boker (Betty), and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by many of her siblings.

Born on April 17, 1946, and raised in Gloucester City, Arlene went on to build a beautiful life centered around her family and her cherished home in Westville, NJ. Arlene loved her backyard on Delsea Drive; she enjoyed gardening and working to make her roses and dogwood trees look perfect. She found happiness in life's simple pleasures like reruns of Law & Order and The Closer. She was an avid romance novel reader, a Phillies fan, and she loved going to the casinos with her husband.  She was kind, generous, and always willing to help someone in need.

While Arlene worked various jobs over the years, her favorite was being a stay-at-home mom.  Her life was a testament to love, family, and commitment. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and carried in our hearts.

To honor her wishes, a private family service will be held, where she will gently be laid to rest alongside her husband Bob in the columbarium at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
