Charles R. Iles

Charles, (Chuck) Iles, age 64, of Westville, NJ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Judy (Severs) Iles. His Children Tina Garrison (Bob), Chuck Jr (Ryane), Mandy Reed (Jimmer) and Christine Nucera (Anthony). He had 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Sisters Debbie Pat and Jackie. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents Tom and Catherine Iles and brothers Tom and Steve.

His greatest joy was his grandchildren. He was a wonderful "Poppy" to Kelsey, Rebecca, Lexi, Tori, Emily, Chase and Lucas and to Landyn, Damian, Hailey, Anthony and Bobby.

He worked for most of his years as a truck driver, most recently as a dump truck driver at RE Pierson in Pilesgrove. He had so many close friends from his previous jobs and told many stories of each and every one of them.

In his 20s and 30s he was on a men's softball team. As his children became teenagers he was their youth group leader and member of Westville Methodist Church. He coached his son in Westville little league and his daughters in the softball league. He love to go golf and has many fond memories of golf outings with his friends and family.

Chuck loves the salt water and tried over and over again to catch the big one. From his boat, the beach or the dock his love of fishing was immense, as was his love of woodworking. He fed the birds every week from his many bird houses and feeders around the yard. We will never forget his feisty, stubborn, ornery, fun loving, Big as life self.

"Rest in peace"...... we will love you forever. you have shown us all, what strength and bravery is all about!
