In Loving Memory of "Falconery Maria Cajiao"

Your love was as deep as the ocean, and your heart as warm as the sun. You will be missed every single day until we meet again in Heaven."

Falconery Maria Cajiao, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, passing away peacefully on July 2, 2026, at the age of 43. Born on May 21, 1983, in Queens, New York, Falconery was raised in Paterson, New Jersey, where she grew up surrounded by a community that loved her.

Falconery had a deep love for God's creation and found her peace in life's simple pleasures. Her absolute favorite place to be was the beach, where she found immense joy and comfort feeling the warmth of the sun and watching the beauty of the ocean waves. She possessed a deeply compassionate, Christ-like heart and a great love for all of God's animals. Above all, Falconery cherished the family God blessed her with. She was a devoted mother to her three children and a deeply loving aunt who treasured every moment shared with her nieces and nephews. Her spirit was as bright and warm as the shores she loved so much.

She is survived by her three beloved children, Yanedy Guzman, Michael Royes Jr., and Chloe Royes; her loving mother and stepfather, Carmelina and Geovany De-Souza; her dear father, Jose Fernando Cajiao; and her loving sister and brother-in-law, Yessenia and Calvin Swann. She is also survived by her cherished siblings living in Colombia, as well as her many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

While we mourn her loss, we find comfort in knowing she is resting eternally in the arms of Jesus.

"If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast." — Psalm 139:9-10
