Francis J. Cavanaugh Jr. of Westville NJ passed away Sunday evening,June 20, 2010 at Manor Care Rehab Center after a short illness at the age of 89. Francis was born in Phila. Pa. He retired in 1977 from the Phila. Social Security office with 30 years of service. Francis served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was an active member of St. Anne's RC Church. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn nee Mathieu. Survived by 3 sons, Francis III {Kathleen} of Haddon Heights; Paul of Westville; John of Westville; 3 daughters, Evelyn {Joseph} McAnaney of West Wildwood; Mary Benson {Rick} of Lancaster Pa; Margaret Delaney {John} of Ewing; 4 sisters Anne Quinn; Regina Sawyer; Kathleen Hellings; Eileen Story; 6 Grandchildren; and 7 Great-Grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday 11 AM at St. Anne's RC Church Rt 130 and Highland Ave. Westville NJ where friends may call one hour prior to services.
