Jane Lynn "Jean" Lucci
August 15, 1935 – June 9, 2024
Jane Lynn "Jean" Lucci, 88, beloved wife of the late Carl R. Lucci, Sr. for 47 years, formerly of Gibbstown, NJ, departed this earthly life peacefully on Sunday, June 9th.
Jean, as she was fondly known, was born on August 15, 1935, the daughter of George and Jennie Frantzis. She attended Paulsboro High School. She joined Bell Telephone Company as an Operator and received several promotions, Supervisor, Union Shop Steward and Group Leader and retired after 35 years of service. She then joined Comcast for several years.
Jean met Carl at a football game at which he came to her rescue to free her car and the rest was history. Jean was an avid bowler for many years, she enjoyed penny poker with the neighborhood girls every Wednesday night. She could be found hosting countless pool parties and picnics for family and friends and enjoyed babysitting and making memories with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jean is survived by her children, Doreen Heintz (James), Valerie Lucci, Carl R. Lucci, Jr. (Cynthia), Jason Lucci; grandchildren, Matthew Harrington (Shawn), Melissa Heintz, Catherine Maine (Scott), Emily Heintz (Clinton), Sean Lucci, Jason "JC" Lucci, Marilyn Lucci, Scarlett Lucci; great grandchildren, Madison Whipp, Carl Harrington, Ryan Daniels, Kaylee Jones, Landon Heintz, Caden Maine. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Ruth Anna Raplis and Eliza Ann DiLullo, and her first grandchild, Jeanette Harrington.
Our family would like to thank the Hospice Community for all their medical care and the fun activities that they provided emotionally, spiritually and physically for the past year. Mom really enjoyed it. We would especially like to thank Yvette, owner of A Touch of Care, the most giving person we've ever met. Yvette was a godsend!
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 18th from 10:00–11:00 AM at Adams-Stiefel Funeral Home, 203 West Broad Street, Paulsboro, NJ with interment following at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ.
