Obituary

Joan Coughlin

September 9,1942-August 11, 2020

Joan Coughlin, resident of Pennsville, NJ. Formerly of Aston, PA  passed away on August 11th in her home at the age of 77.  Daughter of the late Charles Seitz, Sr and Dorthy (Downes) Seitz. Joan will always be remembered by her husband Bud Coughlin, her children: daughter, Donna Heffner (Robert Heffner), son Paul Connell, daughter Lizabeth Cassidy (Robert Cassidy) daughter Claudene McCartney (Joseph McCartney), and her 13 grandchildren as well as her 10 great grandchildren. Joan was predeceased by her daughter Lisa Bosch (James Bosch Jr), sister Francis Willis (Raymond Willis) and brother Charles Seitz, Jr.

Joan was born in Chester, Pa, and later attended college where she became an RN. From there, she went on to work at Crozer Hospital. She also worked at Boeing for many years until her retirement, when she began to pursue her growing love of animals. Her interests ranged from working with race horses, to raising her cows on the farm, and caring for her numerous dogs. Anyone who knows Joan can relate to "Joan and her dog's," as she did not leave home without them! Her dedication to animals was passed onto her grandchildren, as she inspired them to take up hobbies such as horseback riding and volunteering at animal shelters.

Joan is fondly remembered by many at St Francis De Sales where she often donated her time as a member of the mothers club as well as being a devoted catholic. Joan was an adventurous soul, always traveling and cherishing her memories with friends and family. Her fondest trips were those she took to Alaska and Jackson Hole, WY. Joan had a caring heart, giving her all to those around her. She genuinely cared for others, always helping in whatever way she could.

Joan will be forever loved and missed by her friends and family, and she will never be forgotten. Graveside services for immediate family only.
