John R. Hofmann

John R. Hofmann, age 87, of Paulsboro, NJ passed away on October 18, 2017 at home.

He is survived by his beloved wife Ursula nee {Seena} and had been married for 56 years.

He is also survived by his loving children John M ; and Roseann {Gerry} Banecker . He was very proud of his two grandsons Kevin and Kyle who called him "POPS". His constant companion Schatzie really misses him.

John was predeceased by his parents John A. and  Rosa R. Hofmann and his only sister Rosemma Walsh who died in 2009. Her three children survived her.

John graduated from Paulsboro High School in 1947 and joined the US Army 1948-1959 during The Korean War. He worked at the Mobil Oil Refinery as a Forklift Operator and retired in 1990 at the age of 59. John enjoyed working with his hands and built a town called Alf Ville for his train sets.

He and his wife Ursula enjoyed traveling and had visited all 50 States and Mexico. They had also been on several cruises. John was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and had season tickets for years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday 10-11 AM and his funeral service 11:00 AM at the Adams-Stiefel Funeral Home 203 W. Broad Street Paulsboro. Interment will be at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, Monroe Township, NJ.
