Patricia Merril Flem

Patricia Merril Flem {nee Miller} of Cape May Court House, NJ formerly of Westville, NJ passed away peacefully at home, with family by her side, on March 9, 2019 at the age of 79. Patricia was born on November 25, 1939 to John and Irene Miller (Nee) Moss in Colchester Essex England. She was predeceased by her beloved husband John Edward Flem Jr.

Patricia worked as a secretary to the Superintendent at the Parkview Elementary School in Westville for 30 years. She was a member of the Independent Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary in Westville and would work the voting polls in Westville as needed. Patricia loved spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren. She also loved going to the casinos, going to the beach, fishing, reading, and as her eyes started to fail her, listening to audio books.

Patricia's family remembers being asked "Are you hungry?" "Do you want food?" She enjoyed her sweet snacks and ice cream. Her families' favorite meals that she prepared were her famous baked macaroni and cheese, goulash and roast beef. Her son remembers affectionately being told to "Wait til your father gets home" when he became a bit hard to handle.

Patricia is survived by her Children; John G. Flem {Terry}, Sheri Peteani {Michael}, Michele Horn {Kevin}, brother John R. Miller {Lucille}, her 6 Grandchildren; John G. Jr.{Becky}, Alicia, Madison, Jennalyn, Nicholas, Alli, 2 Great Grandchildren; Zane and Emma, and many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly remembered and missed by everyone.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life held on Monday Evening March 18, 2019 from 6:00-8:00PM. Her Memorial Service will start at 8:00PM at the Ellis-Stiefel Funeral Home 301 Highland Ave. Westville, NJ 08093. Interment will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 11:00AM at the Woodbury Memorial Park in West Deptford, NJ. 08096.
