Obituary

Sarah Mary Frisby fell asleep in death on August 25, 2017. Mary was born in Cedarville, NJ on December 26, 1931, the youngest of eight children. She grew up in Bridgeton, NJ where she graduated from Bridgeton High School in 1950. Mary worked outside of the home briefly, but was primarily a homemaker. Affectionately known as "Mom" by many, Mary was an amateur foodie, and enjoyed cooking, chatting about and experimenting with recipes. In the summers she loved fresh picked corn and spending time near the ocean. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her friends and family, and doting on grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness in 1953 and served faithfully with her spiritual brothers and sisters for the remainder of her life. Mary's loving personality, laughter, and kindness will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children: George Cousin of Wilmington, DE; Bonnie Frisby of Sewell, NJ; Robert Frisby, Jr. and wife Laverne of Atlanta, GA; Monica Frisby of Pennsgrove, NJ; Richard Frisby and wife Jackie of MD; Lisa Frisby of Mt. Laurel, NJ; Donna Torres and husband Miguel of Mantua, NJ. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Marvin Frisby of Paulsboro, NJ, granddaughter Latoya Davis (nee Cousin) of Woodbury, NJ, and close to 50 grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Robert L. Frisby, Sr.; daughter Patricia Cousin; son Wayne Frisby, parents Isaac Thompson and Sarah Thompson (nee Murray); sister Lillian Willacy (nee Thompson), brothers Isaac Thompson; Reubin Thompson; Booker Thompson; Joseph Thompson; Levin Thompson; and James Thompson.
