Vincent Monsu Vincent Monsu of Westville, NJ died peacefully at home on Sunday June 26, 2011 at the age of 82. Vincent was born in Frazzano, Sicily to Joseph and Josephine Monsu {nee Papa} on January 3, 1929. He retired in 1984 from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Philadelphia, PA as a Civil Engineer/Naval Architect with 33 yrs of service. Vincent enjoyed annual visits to Sicily, camping, fishing, crabbing, and spending time with his family. He was an Eagle Scout and past Scout Master for the Gibbstown BSA Troop. Vincent was a member of Saint Anne's RC Church in Westville; the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers; the Westville Rotary, and the Tradewinds Camping Club of South Jersey. Survived by his beloved wife Eleanore {nee Makohuz} of 57 years; a son James {Kimberly} of West Deptford; a daughter Kathleen {Paul} Ellenberg of Blackwood and 4 grandchildren, Nicholas, Andrew, Christian and Karlyn. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday evening 7-9PM at the Ellis-Stiefel Funeral Home 301 Highland Ave., Westville, NJ and Friday 9:30-10:30AM at the Funeral Home. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 AM at the St. Anne's RC Church Rt. 130 Westville, NJ. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery Bellmawr, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent in Vincent's memory to the St. John of God Community Service 1150 Delsea Dr., Deptford, NJ 08096.
